Taptiles

are multi layered composite products, which are widely used for noise control purposes in a variety of applications. They are made from non-combustible inorganic mineral wool as defined in BS 3533. The range of semi-rigid and rigid sheets are laminated either plain or can combine a mass layer of lead or polymeric barrier, which is available in weights of 5, 10 or 15kilo. These highly efficient sound barrier tiles can be manufactured to almost any size up to 1200mm in length and 1200mm wide but this would depend upon the thickness and density of the product.

This very flexible and versatile product ranges comes either plain or with a selection of facings and can be manufactured for a specific application or to your own specification.

Operating temperatures 150°C continuous & up to 850°C (dependent on materials used) down to cryogenic temperatures, provided a 100% vapour barrier is maintained to prevent ingress of moisture vapour.

Fire Performance Mineral wool is Class O to building regs. Achieving Class 1 (surface of very low flame spread) when tested in accordance with BS 476 part 7: & the indices of performance to BS 476 part 6, Non-combustible to BS 476 part 4.

Polymeric barrier FMVSS 302 self extinguishing

Permanence Mineral wool’s are rot proof, odourless, non-hydroscopic, do not sustain vermin & will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.

Nominal density range 32kg up to 200kg

Tile size Standard - 1200mm x 600mm or special size available upon request.

Thickness 14mm up to 200mm according to size and density of sheet
